NEW SAGE STUDIO WORKSHOP FOCUSES ON MUSICAL THEATRE

This year Raue Center For The Arts is proud to offer Sage Studio’s Musical Theatre Workshop through the generosity of The Foglia Family Foundation and ComEd. This multi-week course culminates in a showcase of selected scenes presented at the theatre. Students ages 15 to 18 will improve their skills as they explore the American musical!

This workshop will be led Amanda Flahive who holds her BFA in musical theatre from Millikin University and is a current member of Williams Street Repertory, Raue Center’s in-house production company.

The musical theatre workshop precedes Raue Center’s other educational outreach program, the America Celebrates the Piano Master Classes taught by Melissa Manchester, Kurt Bestor and Danny Wright (part of The National Piano Conference at Raue Center). 2 students from the musical theatre workshop will be selected to participate in the master classes on June 30.

Students wishing to participate must exhibit an appreciation and aptitude for musical theatre and must also submit a video audition of a song (no more than 3 minutes). The registration deadline is June 6. Applications are available online at rauecenter.org or by contacting the Box Office located at 26 N. Williams Street in Historic Downtown Crystal Lake, IL or via telephone at 815.356.9212.
